The first new freshman residence hall to be built on the Macon campus in several decades opened in fall 2016 and houses 300 students on four floors. Located behind Mary Erin Porter Residence Hall, the new facility features landscaped courtyards facing the historic quad and the parking lot, includes an apartment for the residence hall director, and has study rooms and laundry facilities. The new structure is the centerpiece of a completely transformed northeast quadrant of the Macon campus that includes expanded parking and a new perimeter street connecting Ash Street to Edgewood Avenue that services the area.
